چکیده

In a recent paper, we calculate spectral energy distributions (SEDs) for 1425 Fermi blazars, classifications of low synchrotron peak sources (LSPs) if log νp(Hz) ≤ 14.0, intermediate synchrotron peak sources (ISPs) if 14.0 < log νp(Hz) ≤ 15.3, and high synchrotron peak sources (HSPs) if log νp(Hz) > 15.3 are made based on 999 logarithms of synchrotron peak frequencies with known redshift, and we obtain an empirical relation to estimate the synchrotron peak frequency, ν Eq. p from effective spectral indexes αox and αro as log ν Eq. p = 16 + 4.238X if X < 0, and log ν Eq. p = 16 + 4.005Y if X > 0, where X = 1.0− 1.262αro − 0.623αox, and Y = 1.0 + 0.034αro − 0.978αox [1]. In the present work, we investigate the correlation between the peak frequency and the radio to X-ray spectral index, that between peak luminosity (integrated luminosity) and γ-ray/optical luminosity, and that between peak luminosity and integrated luminosity. Some discussions are presented.

Beaming effect for Fermi/LAT blazars

In this talk, we will show the beaming effect for Fermi/LAT blazars, then we discuss the correlations between γ-ray luminosity and other parameters, such as radio Doppler factors, superluminal motions, and core-dominance parameters. We also compare the Doppler factors determined from the γ-ray luminosity, X-ray emissions, and the short-term time scales with those from other methods. Our discuss...

Radio-optical-gamma-ray properties of MOJAVE AGN detected by Fermi/LAT

Aims. We use a sample of 83 core-dominated active galactic nuclei (AGN) selected from the MOJAVE (Monitoring of Jets in AGN with VLBA Experiments) radio-flux-limited sample and detected with the Fermi Large Area Telescope (LAT) to study the relations between non-simultaneous radio, optical, and γ-ray measurements. Methods. We perform a multi-band statistical analysis to investigate the relation...

Why Haven’t Many of the Brightest Radio Loud Blazars Been Detected in Gamma-rays by Fermi ?

We use the complete MOJAVE 1.5 Jy sample of active galactic nuclei (AGN) to examine the gammaray detection statistics of the brightest radio-loud blazars in the northern sky. We find that 23% of these AGN were not detected above 0.1 GeV by the Fermi LAT during the 4-year 3FGL catalog period partly because of an instrumental selection effect, and partly due to their lower Doppler boosting factor...

Flux and Photon Spectral Index Distributions of Fermi-LAT Blazars and Contribution to the Extragalactic Gamma-Ray Background

We present a determination of the distributions of the photon spectral index and gamma-ray flux—the so-called log N–log S relation—for the 352 blazars detected with a greater than approximately 7σ detection threshold and located above ±20◦ Galactic latitude by the Large Area Telescope of the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope in its first year catalog. Because the flux detection threshold depends ...

Detection of significant cm to sub-mm band radio and γ -ray correlated variability in Fermi bright blazars

The exact location of the γ -ray emitting region in blazars is still controversial. In order to attack this problem we present first results of a cross-correlation analysis between radio (11 cm to 0.8mm wavelength, F-GAMMA programme) and γ -ray (0.1–300GeV) ∼3.5 yr light curves of 54 Fermi-bright blazars. We perform a source stacking analysis and estimate significances and chance correlations u...
